"I rarely plan to take photographs. with me it's more of compulsion to shoot. i see something seemingly ordinary which somehow is much more. whether in my antique store, crow trading co., on a day trip or out in the backyard, i enjoy taking photos of whatever inspires me."
"Influenced by the surroundings of daily life . Pulling from what makes most of us uncomfortable to deal with face to face. I've taken many different art classes, but self taught in painting. seeking to push the boundaries of what we call acceptable in society. to make the viewer question what is presented in front of them. to make you fully comfortable, embracing you into the image. or make you so uncomfortable you want to flee, yet you don't want to look away. with each painting, each brush stroke, i apply a piece of myself into it. thus, each piece is very unique to my timeline. the thing we call life. we are more alike than we would like to admit. i choose to show the raw nature of simply being alive. even the darker side of like can have beauty in it. it's all in your perspective."
